TEP Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to join their team!
TEP, Inc., is a soil amendment and fertilizer company owned by a family of multi-generational growers. What sets TEP, Inc. apart from their competitors is that they are farmers themselves, always ready to show other farmers the success of their products on their farmland. From one grower to another, TEP, Inc., is dedicated to providing growers with only the best products that have been proven to improve yield, the quality of farmland, and the overall health of plants; making their products a great cornerstone to any fertilizer program.
We are looking for an internally driven individual with strong sales talent to join their team as a Sales Rep to proactively build long-term, profitable relationships selling to targeted customers. They work closely with their customers sharing extensive knowledge and growing tips to boost year-to-year performance. Their culture thrives on providing quality and award-winning service with every interaction.
Our ideal candidate has sold products or services in the ag industry. We are also open to someone that knows the farming/ag industry and has sold outside the industry and is looking to get back into agriculture.
Available Territories: Central Valley CA and Pacific Northwest CA.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
• Collaborate with the TEP, Inc., management team to establish annual sales goals
• Establish and maintain relationships with farmers, growers, and distributors within assigned sales region
• Conduct field trials with customers on various crops in efforts to showcase the notable results of using our TEP products
• Attend seminars, tradeshows, and grower meetings to strengthen relationships and enhance business development
• Communicate effectively with the TEP, Inc., management team and provide regular updates on progress, trials, and more
• Provide date and technical input to further support sales
• Participate, present, and/or assist with the display of TEP, Inc., at key industry meetings
• Must be willing to travel to customer and/or event locations (minimal overnight travel required)
• This position requires traveling to customers and distributors throughout the Central Valley of California.
• The selected candidate will report directly to the TEP, Inc., management team.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in agricultural sales
• Basic knowledge of plant nutrition and crop production
• Must hold a valid California driver’s license
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to travel within assigned sales region
Desired Skills (Not Required):
• Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture, horticulture, crop science, soil science, or an equivalent degree
• Experience in sales related to soil amendments and/or biological fertilizers
• Ability to verbally communicate in Spanish
• 5 years sales experience
