After School STEAM Coding Program - Elementary Students

Job Description:

Are you passionate about igniting young minds with the magic of coding and robotics and technology? We're searching for an enthusiastic After-School STEAM Coach to lead our engaging program for curious elementary and middle school students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans using Dash & Dot robots and iPads, focusing on robotics and programming fundamentals.
• Facilitate interactive activities and challenges that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative application of learned concepts.
• Provide constructive feedback and support during project development, enabling students to refine their ideas and problem-solving approaches.
• Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to participate.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), particularly robotics and coding.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging activities, lessons, and challenges aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas and working together.

Schedule:

• Thursdays: May 2nd to May 23rd

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 3 per week
