Flag Football Instructor - After School Summer Program

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Flag Football Instructor to introduce and coach middle grade students in the sport of flag football. The ideal candidate will be passionate about football and youth development, capable of creating a fun and safe learning environment, and motivated to contribute positively to our community's health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging flag football lessons that cater to the skill levels and learning styles of middle grade students.
• Teach the rules, techniques, and strategies of flag football in a clear and understandable manner.
• Ensure a safe playing environment, conducting all activities in compliance with school safety protocols.
• Organize, set up, and break down practice equipment before and after sessions.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and understanding of the game.
• Foster a team spirit and fair play among students while emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding student progress and program updates.
• Plan and execute small-scale tournaments or game days for students.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a flag football coach or relevant role.
• Strong understanding of the game of flag football and its rules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young students.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
• A background in education, physical education, or sports management is preferred.
• Must pass a background check and have a clean criminal record.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 2 per week
