Summary/Objective:
The primary role of the Project Manager is to work with other team members to ensure that all initiatives, processes, and applications for a given program are outlined, tasked, and scheduled in a manner to meet the quality and deliverable standards as set forth by After, Inc. Project Management is inclusive of new client initiatives and launches, as well as managing change requests and IT tasks that address operational issues. The Project Manager serves as the liaison between clients and internal teams regarding implementation of new projects. While this role interfaces with clients on a regular basis, the Project Manager primarily interfaces and leads internal teams to successful and timely project execution. Prior experience managing projects in an agile environment and being able to interpret and understand technical business requirements will be considered a plus.
Essential Functions
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal teams and lead them to delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate efforts with all relevant stakeholders to define tasks, estimates, and dependencies for proposed project work.
  • Build project plan drafts and then obtain stakeholder approvals prior to uploading into sprint management software platform (Jira).
  • Lead agile meetings including daily stand-ups, weekly team meetings, sprint planning and backlog prioritization meetings.
  • Ensure all resources are fully utilized but not overallocated by managing which tasks are assigned to each resource for each sprint.
  • Partner with other project manager to ensure that resources are fully utilized and not overallocated across the organization and various project teams that may share resources.
  • Optimize resource allocation along with project throughput and resolving operational issues to ensure the client's highest priority needs are being met first.
  • Manage sprints, as well as projects, to ensure team members are making necessary progress on assigned tasks and projects are staying on track.
  • Maintain strong relationships with client teams, especially coordinating with the client's project manager to align on intercompany project dependencies and timelines.
  • Obtain and summarize hours from all assigned resources for billable projects.
  • Invest in gaining a key understanding of our marketing platform and business processes to manage projects more effectively.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for process and program improvements by measuring project performance and adherence to the original estimates and timelines.
  • Support Account Management team during status meetings with the client.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate project requirements and timelines to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Tactical, strong affinity for understanding and communicating business processes, especially how they are implemented from an IT viewpoint.
  • Positive mental attitude, high energy level, and strong sense of ownership of tasks.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Experienced with project management software tools (MS Project, Jira), methodologies, and best practices.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to analyze project related data, understand key marketing operations metrics and their impact to the overall business.
  • Self-directed with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Patience with steep learning curve.
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases and/or familiarity in working with a Marketing database.
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and experience with Gsuite platform. Proficiency with JIRA a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in IT project management
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, IT, or related field
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately to meet business goals.
