Affiliated Construction Services is Hiring an Equipment Project Manager Near Verona, WI

Overview

ACS is looking for an Equipment Project Manager to join our team. This position is located in our headquarters office in Verona, WI.

The Equipment Project Manager is a key role providing leadership, oversight and mentoring through successful projects and customer relationships. The role requires consistently meeting client expectations, both defined and implied, by successfully supporting project teams through meeting program objectives in parallel with balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality.

The Equipment PM role is responsible for leading multiple equipment projects after receiving a purchase order from our client. The Equipment PM will take control of the project where the proposal team left off. The projects will typically be multi-disciplined and require coordination/leadership of the multiple disciplines. 

This role will be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery by ensuring conformance to the as sold net profit and customer satisfaction ratings. The role requires proficiency with equipment project scope, project cost control, scheduling, and equipment procurement.

Basic requirements include:

  • Professional presentation, writing, and client relations skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Experience in managing equipment type projects. 
  • Broad understanding of (does not need to be an expert):
    • Machine Design
    • Mechanical Systems
    • Electrical Power
    • Control Systems
  • Experience working with the multiple disciplines (listed above)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with:
    • Project setup
    • Design management
    • Project execution
    • Overall project management experience
  • Capable of managing multi projects at a time
    • Ability to manage 9-10 project at a time
    • Estimated 4-5 hours per project per week
  • Must have a solid understanding of project management tools and approaches to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects, and the knowledge and social skills needed to lead diverse and dynamic teams.
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities as needed.
