Data Scientist - Remote
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
- Build models to address business problems
- Source, manage, and analyze large amounts of unstructured data
- Identify key data sources and automate collection processes
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Apply data science techniques including machine learning, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence
- Design predictive models and perform custom analysis
- Combine models through ensemble modeling
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Present information to key stakeholders using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to solve business challenges
- Drive strategic decision-making efforts
- Experience in data mining
- Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
- Programming skills using R, SQL, Python, Scala, Java, C SAS, Apache Spark, BigML, D3.js, MATLAB
- Excel, ggplot2, Jupyter, Matplotlib, NLTK, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Weka
- Experience using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Hadoop
- Statistical and mathematical skills
- Business acumen and analytical skills
- Storytelling and data visualization
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst or Data Engineer
- BS or advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
