Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, hardworking and experienced Civil Engineer IV for immediate employment in New England .

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate experience, interest, and knowledge of rail, transit, and transportation planning (Complete Streets, Urban Corridors, Traffic, Electrification and CV/AV projects as examples). AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The applicant can look forward to leading major transportation planning and related planning projects including but not limited to large scale transportation corridor planning studies, transit plans, feasibility studies, alternatives analyses, comprehensive transportation plans, Master Plans, Complete Streets, multi-modal and corridor studies, strategic plans, Bicycle/ Pedestrian plans, as well as Connected and Autonomous Vehicle studies/planning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead execution of significant rail/transit project delivery under supervision.

• Demonstrated expertise in the area of managing and preparing transportation project teams.

• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by expertise.

• Participates in interdisciplinary review of projects deliverables.

• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings

• Prepares technical specification sections

• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.

• Establish relationships with local agencies and be a visible leader/trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.

• A desire to work with external contractors/consultants, AECOM’s other divisions/regions and interact directly with major clients

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Over 10 years of experience in leading engineering projects with project management experience.

• BS in Civil Engineering or a related field.

• PE in a New England state or ability to obtain registration within 6 months.

• Ability to create grading plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads or OpenRail.

• Familiarity with plan/profile creation for rail and highway projects.

• Track and manage task budgets and schedule experience.

• Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.

• Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.

• Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000.
