Job DescriptionAECOM is serving as the General Engineering Consultant on this first-ever Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain contract for the Department of Transportation (GDOT). As the General Engineering Consultant, the AECOM team will be serving as the owner's representative to oversee the Developer during the final design and construction of this $1.2B project along SR 400 in the northern suburbs of metropolitan Atlanta. Design and Construction will begin later this year and likely carry into 2030/2031.
The
Compliance Lead (Construction) will serve as a member of the Post-Let Management Team. The position will be located in the project field office near the project corridor to be determined by the Developer. The anticipated start date for this position is Mid-May 2024.
- Assists the Project Chief Engineer in tracking the status of engineering Non-Conformance Reports or confirming the Developer's completion of corrective actions associated with NCR related to Engineering items.
- Administer and participate in Product and Process Audits to verify the Developer's adherence to the DBF Documents.
- Verifies the CQMP is being updated on an annual basis as needed per the contract requirements
- Audits/Assists with auditing of OVF after adherence to (and effectiveness of) the Owner Verification Firm's Ownder Verification Testing and Inspection Program.
- Participate in audit follow-up meetings to review draft external audit reports
- Assists the Construction OV Manager and Chief Field Engineer's overside of the ConstructionOV staff by monitoring and verifying specified Post-Let Instructions and OVTIP procedures are being adhered.
- Trains staff, develops, implements, and revises the OVTIP
- Works with the Commercial Business Lead and Project Chief Engineer on modification or new processes to correct Post-Let Management Team performance, identify training or additional support that may be necessary, and suggest updates to the PLI of OVTIP as the project progresses.
- As needed, assist PCE in preparing the engineering section of the PMT quarterly audit.
- Attend Independent Quality Firms Quality Meetings
- Audit the PMT against the Post-Let instructions for construction
- Receives, reviews, and monitors implementation of Developer Corrective Action Requests to close open NCRs.
- Verifies OVF adherence of OVF's OVTIP through periodical daily observation, reports assessment, meetings, workshops, and audits.
QualificationsMinimum: - BS Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 6 years of highway engineering or construction compliance-related experience.
- Experience with GDOT highway construction projects
- Experience with and understanding of the Federal, State, and Local regulations applicable to construction projects, including environmental, safety, and construction standards.
- Valid Driver's License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and technical documents and apply them to practical construction scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively convey compliance requirements to a diverse range of stakeholders
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $107,000.00 - $190,000.00.
