Advocates for Immigrant Rights is Hiring a Legal Secretary/Receptionist Near Memphis, TN

Advocates for Immigrant Rights is a non-profit immigration law firm and is seeking someone to fill one position in the role of Client Relations Coordinator (Legal Secretary) for our Memphis office. We need someone who is fluent in both English and Spanish, organized, self-driven and motivated with the ability to identify solutions to issues as they arise.

This is a full-time hourly position, to start immediately. The Client Relations Coordinator will provide administrative support for Advocates for Immigrant Rights.

Duties include:

  • Pleasantly interacting with clients over the phone in Spanish and/or English to disseminate and collect accurate information with an emphasis on client satisfaction
  • Answering all incoming calls/texts/emails/messages
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Collecting payments
  • Warmly welcoming in-person clients to our office
  • Graciously accepting client payments
  • Accurately logging client interactions in case management application
  • Gather documents and information from clients
  • Conduct new client intakes and orientation
  • Interpret for attorneys and translate documents
  • Timely processing legal mail
  • Efficiently creating and maintaining files
  • Participation in Staff Meetings
  • Community outreach
  • Other administrative duties as required

Must demonstrate a willingness to help others (both clients and staff). Must have reliable transportation. Must have at least a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years of work experience OR an associate’s degree. Required skills include fluency in both English and Spanish, basic proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel), Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
