Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join our team at our Oakland, CA, location. We are interested in candidates who are looking to work for a company that is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce! This specific program is scheduled to run Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Applicants must be available during the class schedule to be considered for this position. 

The Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor
• Grade class assignments and exams.

This role requires the following qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology, and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Current CPR certification.
