Responsibilities:
- Managing Accounts Payable processes from voucher to check run.
- Ensuring accurate allocation to appropriate accounting periods, companies, and G/L accounts.
- Enforcing compliance with company procedures for purchase orders while processing payments for vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Collaborating on the development of an accounts payable manual and continually refining policies and procedures.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution.
- Reconciling vendor statements and following up on outstanding invoices.
- Completing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and related journal entries.
- Preparing and distributing year-end 1099 forms.
- Assisting external auditors and other stakeholders with Accounts Payable requests.
- Acting as the primary contact for ERP system upgrades.
- Supporting special projects and management/divisional needs.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree required.
- Three to five years of similar Accounts Payable experience in a corporate accounting department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- A/S400 experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Self-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, and integrity within a team environment.
- Reliability in attendance and self-motivation.
