JOB PURPOSE: Organize and coordinate information content necessary to facilitate the profitable introduction of new products and the maintenance of existing products.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

* Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Viking produced and competitive products, pricing and features.

* Ability to test Viking produced, sourced, as well as competitive products and objectively discerns competitive strengths and weaknesses to advance product positioning within the market; Create documents necessary to support and demonstrate product comparisons.

* Create product features, performance expectations and dimensional specifications for new product development that are competitively "best-in-class"; product specifications should leverage Viking and/or OEM capabilities resulting in sales goal achievement and profitable margins.

* Develop model numbers and work with Sales to determine product forecasting.

* Organize information flow between company personnel that alert other departments regarding new product development issues and potential issues.

* Support the New Product Development Process; assisting in schedule development, schedule updates and monitoring to ensure tasks are completed on time.

* Responsible for creation, direction, and organization of packed with literature and items needed for product introduction.

* Support release of product by coordinating the flow of preliminary and final product data/specs to the field and by supplying data for press releases, bulletins, cost schedules, website, and brochures.

* Facilitate and organize data entry of new product information into Oracle and PIM by creating files that list the key product attributes such as (but not limited to) model numbers, descriptions, dimensions, features and benefits, and specifications for all new products.

* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance or related field.

* Plan and execute market and product strategy for selected product lines profitably.

* Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

* Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a positive, professional attitude.

* Advanced experience with applications including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other digital communication tools.
