Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned and managed practices in the country. Our team includes 215 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. What we do: ARS provides services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan with a combination of on-site and remote teleradiology reading in our central offices and homes. We are the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. Corewell has a full array of multidisciplinary programs in heart transplant, lung transplant, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer screening program, sarcoidosis, and thoracic medicine and surgery programs serving patients with structural heart disease (TAVR, TAMR) HCM, heart failure, and lung cancer. We are expanding PET-CT services in our distributed radiology network.
What we are looking for: We are seeking a full-time Thoracic Radiologist. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone to join the group of advanced lung imaging readers in our Grand Rapids Corewell Health site. This candidate will join 3 cardiothoracic fellowship trained radiologists and a large group of body fellowship trained radiologists who subspecialize in thoracic imaging. This is a partnership track position working 39 weeks and 11 weekends. We also offer flexible staffing options including a no-weekend/holiday alternative track option. This can be a hybrid position for a Thoracic – Body imaging as well if desired with at least 50 % of the time spent in Thoracic imaging.
Responsibilities:
· Interpret all aspects of thoracic (pulmonary ) imaging including high-resolution chest imaging, chest CT, lung cancer staging and post treatment, lung cancer screening and post lung transplant
· Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Conference duties
· Support medical student and resident teaching and scholarly activities
· Participate in Body/ER section rotations as preferences and skills allow and as desired
Requirements:
· American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology certified
· Thoracic or cardiothoracic fellowship or commensurate experience in the discipline.
· Our primary need is in thoracic radiology. Cardiac MR and CT skills are not required.

Compensation/Benefits: We offer a competitive salary/bonus and opportunities for additional income by picking up shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay nothing for medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($66,000 in 2023). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.
