Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Accountant for a new opportunity with our client in the Greensboro area. As a Senior Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This is a key role within the organization, requiring strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and reconciliations
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
- Review and analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any payroll-related issues
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations related to payroll processing
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to payroll expenses
- Conduct regular audits of payroll processes to ensure compliance with internal controls
- Perform bank reconciliations related to payroll accounts

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll accounting or a similar role
- Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Experience with financial auditing and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., PeopleSoft) and MS Excel
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements related to payroll taxes and deductions
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
