Job Description: Medical Assistant/Back-Office

Job Summary: We are a leader in multi-modular pain management across the state with a mission to provide effective and innovative pain management solutions to all of our patients. We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant to join our team for our Tucson location.

This position is scheduled for 4, 10 hours shifts (6:30am-5pm) Tuesday-Friday, with no weekend or night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages
• Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance information
• Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining patient files in our EHR
• Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and changes in medical conditions
• Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits
• Assisting physicians during routine checkups, outpatient procedures and other physical exams

Requirements

• 1 years' experience in medical assisting
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software & EMR systems
• Patient, courteous, and tactful behavior.
• Neat and orderly in work and appearance.
• Team-Oriented and flexible as well as self-motivated.
• You may come in contact with medications and therefore must demonstrate understanding of proper medication management and storage as well as maintaining a secure medication environment.
• CPR certification
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Spanish Speaking is a plus
