Job Description: BilingualNew Patient Intake Coordinator/Scheduler

Job Summary: We are a leader in multi-modular pain management across the valley with a mission to provide effective and innovative pain management solutions to all of our patients. We are looking for a full time, Spanish speaking New Patient Intake Coordinator to join our team Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Register, log and schedule all new patient referrals received via phone, fax, email or live chat.
• Answer incoming calls and requests to schedule consults in a timely, accurate manner.
• Update and confirms patient demographic information and insurance eligibility; updates and confirms necessary information including authorization requirements to allow successful processing of claims to insurance plans
• Provides ongoing communication with patients regarding authorization and scheduling
• Respond to patient questions, assist in resolving problems and maintaining high patient satisfaction levels
• Communicates clinical instructions needed for appointments via phone, email and/or text.
• Accurately updates patient information in the practice management system and EMR
• Ensure strict confidentiality of all health records, member information, and meet HIPAA guidelines

Requirements

• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
• Knowledge of scheduling, insurance authorization processes and insurance plans
• Able to work both independently and as a team with minimal supervision
• Ability to be patient, courteous, and maintain tactful behavior
• Knowledge of Federal, state and HIPAA privacy regulations
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written in both Spanish & English.
• Spanish Speaking is required for this particular position due to the diversity of our patients.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
