Position Description:
Office Assistant
Advanced Navigation and Positioning Corporation (ANPC) is an exciting, small company in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. We are experiencing growth and looking to hire some key players to our already engaged, talented team right in Hood River, Oregon. We offer full benefits, 401K matching, 4 weeks PTO and 11 paid holidays, including the week of Christmas to New Years off. Position Summary
This position is responsible for various administrative support such as mail handling, shipping and receiving, answering phones, filing, general correspondence preparation, general office administration, accounts payable, etc. Activities for multiple functional areas including finance, shipping, front desk and office of the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Processing expense reports and travel requests
Develop organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filing, billing, accounts payable and scheduling
Ensure adequate office supplies needs are fulfilled
Support purchasing to accomplish interdepartmental goals and quotas.
Scan, file and log accounting documents
Handles processing of accounts payable invoicing and payments, monitoring all vendor payment agreements to utilize discounts
Coordinates efforts of building security and other service providers, communicating needs to property management.
Other assignments as assigned by supervisor.
Inventory, Shipping & Receiving
Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory.
Issues purchase and work orders to generate product shipments and routing of invoices.
Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked and other factors that affect schedules.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
Picks and kits parts for Work Order processing.
Maintains shipping and receiving schedules.
Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence.
Audits each shipment prior to packing to ensure that goods match order.
Inspects all incoming freight for damage; follows-up with purchasing to resolve any damaged freight issues.
Education & Experience Requirements
Computer skills and ability to learn new software, online computer programs.
Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment.
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management
Key Competencies
Communication skills - Ability to read, write and interpret technical documents such as training manuals, corporate documents and contracts.
General Microsoft Office knowledge and proficiency and other typical solutions such as Google Docs
Ability to become competently skilled in Sage 100 (ERP and time tracking software)
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.

Physical Demands
The physical demands are those required of an employee working in a manufacturing and office environment. Ability to kneel, bend, squat, twist, walk, jump, stand and sit for extended periods of time.
