THE ROLE:

In the rapidly expanding world of AI and HPC, enabling solid system level integration and validation via automation becomes paramount. Our DCGPU solutions, including APUs and GPUs, demand rigorous testing for optimum performance and reliability.

We are seeking a Data Architect to help drive our data strategy and tooling. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

THE PERSON:

You will be part of a team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Your Data Architecture expertise, will enable our engineering teams to advance the state of HPC and AI at an accelerated pace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enable more effective collecting, storing, analysis and reporting on data within the org and across other business units
• Introduce key data technologies into internal automation infrastructures
• Drive data strategy and process changes to enable data driven decision making to enable faster time to market and high quality AI/HPC products

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
• In-depth expertise of databases and other data solutions including data lakes and warehouses
• Experience in data analytics and report generation
• Experience on driving data strategy and introducing technology and process changes based on business and user requirements
• Understanding of ML/AI concepts and solutions is an asset
• Python and other object-oriented based solutions in a team environment
• Experience with other languages, web development, REST and databases is an asset
• Power user of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, containers, etc.
• Experienced with creating modular and maintainable code adhering to best practices
• Software and hardware test debug experience
• Experience in cross OS development in Linux and windows environment preferred
• Familiar with source controls systems like GitHub, Perforce and SVN

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
