Our mission is to decarbonize the "hard-to-abate" heavy industrial sectors of the world economy with a new class of electrolyzers. Advanced Ionics is seeking a highly motivated technician to join our growing team that is dedicated to developing transformational green hydrogen industrial electrolyzer systems.

As a maintenance technician, you are responsible for ensuring that laboratory and testing equipment is functioning as expected. Additionally, you will assist in assembling custom test stations. For laboratory maintenance, you will perform tasks such as maintaining vacuum pumps, chillers, furnaces, presses, etc. For test station assembly, you will install steam and gas tubing, and electrical devices for flow control, data collection, and thermal management.

What You’ll Do

• Follow manuals to maintain and repair typical lab equipment including furnaces, pumps, presses and chillers.
• Compare test results with design specifications and with test objectives and recommend changes, if needed, in products or test methods
• Following CAD drawings, you will assemble frames, route tubing and electrical wiring.
• You will wire and debug control cabinets following electrical schematics.
• Other duties as may be assigned

What You’ve Done to Get Here:

• You have an Associates degree with 5 years of experience.
• You have experience troubleshooting and fixing mechanical systems, including pumps, heat-exchangers, furnaces, regulators & pneumatics, among others.
• You have analytical skills to understand blueprints, models, and specifications for parts and assemblies.
• You can fabricate and assemble complex parts, jigs and test system components.
• You have a proven ability to suggest alternative, cost-effective solutions.
• You have a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• You have experience in scientific equipment/component manufacturing (preferred)
• You are results-oriented and can work independently.
