Job Summary:
We seek a skilled and motivated Clinical Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Clinical Dental Assistant, you will support to the dental team by assisting with various procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. Your expertise in medical documentation, patient assessment, and dental assisting will contribute to the overall success of our practice.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision, and anticipating their needs
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist with digital sensors and properly upload them to Dentrix Ascend

-Take intraoral and extraoral pictures with variety of cameras

-Cerec Scanning

-Cord packing

-Making temporary crowns
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and reinforce proper dental care techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix Ascend
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques. -Adhere to a strict maintenance protocol for sterilization equipment
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Active Dental Assistant certification or license by AZ state regulations
- Proficiency in medical documentation, including accurate recordkeeping and charting
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of anatomy and oral health principles
- Experience with medical imaging techniques such as CBCT is a plus

Pay: $26.61 - $28.02 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
