Dental Assistant- Surgery 

Summary

At Britely, we believe that your smile is your calling card, and everyone should have the opportunity to feel great about theirs. As a member of the clinical team, the Dental Assistant assists in preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and capturing dental radiographs/ 3D imaging. The Dental Assistant is also the primary support for our Britely Doctors while completing dental implant surgery.

Essential Functions 

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Responsible to capture and assessment of patient vitals
  • Accurate entry and maintenance of electronic patient records, medical history, and proposed treatment
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
  • Capture quality dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Track inventory and order clinical supplies
  • Send and receive lab cases in a timely manner
  • Provide patients with health and physical documents 
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
  • Carryout infection control protocol; preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Enthusiastic communication with patients, suppliers, management, and co-workers
  • Responsible for submitting clinical documentation timely 
  • Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
  • Detail and accuracy-oriented
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Set up and prep operatories for surgery, clean and sterilize rooms in between patients
  • Sterilize instruments
  • Impressions and intraoral scans

Required Education and Experience 

  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Dental Assistant (surgical strongly desired)
  • Dental Assistant License where state regulations specify
  • X-Ray Certification where state regulations specify

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • Experience in dental or oral surgery industry preferred
  • Experience with prosthetics 
  • Computer Proficiency and ability to learn new technology and systems
