Dental Assistant- Surgery

As a member of the clinical team, the Dental Assistant assists in preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and capturing dental radiographs/ 3D imaging. The Dental Assistant is also the primary support for our Britely Doctors while completing dental implant surgery.
Essential Functions

- Responsible to capture and assessment of patient vitals
- Accurate entry and maintenance of electronic patient records, medical history, and proposed treatment
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Capture quality dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Track inventory and order clinical supplies
- Send and receive lab cases in a timely manner
- Provide patients with health and physical documents
- Ensure patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Carryout infection control protocol; preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Enthusiastic communication with patients, suppliers, management, and co-workers
- Responsible for submitting clinical documentation timely
- Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
- Detail and accuracy-oriented
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Set up and prep operatories for surgery, clean and sterilize rooms in between patients
- Sterilize instruments
- Impressions and intraoral scans
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Dental Assistant (surgical strongly desired)
- Dental Assistant License where state regulations specify
- X-Ray Certification where state regulations specify
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in dental or oral surgery industry preferred
- Experience with prosthetics
- Computer Proficiency and ability to learn new technology and systems
