We are currently offering $30-$35/HR for this full-time Electrical Service Technician position, Monday through Friday.

What this Role will Do:

Adkins Electric, Inc. a Norlee Group Company, is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for evaluating, assembling, and maintaining electrical systems in equipment which are predominantly portable. The electrical technician does not design electrical systems but will identify potential problems in design.

To be successful as an electrical technician, you should be able to read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units while in the field.
• Handling diverse service calls with little notice, in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain records of service calls, training, and expenses
• Provide on-call emergency service as required and maintain communication with the department manager while in the field.
• Educate customers on preventive maintenance and safety regulations and provide general customer service on the phone and in person.
• Working with blueprints, specifications, and proposals. Understanding and knowledge to read and interrupt them.

You ll be a great fit if:

• 3 years of residential, commercial, and repair experience combined.
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program.
• You can multi-task and are able to manage materials.
• You have a valid and clean driver s license.
• You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.
• You have a strong knowledge of the NEC and building codes.
