Addison Group is Hiring a HR Generalist and Compliance Specialist Near Annapolis, MD

Job Title: HR Generalist/Compliance Specialist

Location: Annapolis, MD

Type: Full Time, Contract to Hire

Pay: $30-35/hr, converting to $80,000 - $85,000

Schedule: 5 Days In Office

Job Duties:

  • Compliance management
    • Keep informed about updates in labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's policies and practices remain in accordance with legal standards.
    • Perform routine audits to evaluate compliance status and devise strategies for ongoing enhancement.
    • Work closely with legal counsel to tackle and resolve any compliance issues promptly.
  • Policy development
    • Develop, revise, and disseminate HR policies and procedures to promote uniformity and adherence to regulations throughout the organization.
    • Deliver training sessions aimed at educating employees and managers about HR policies, procedures, and legal obligations
  • Employee relations
    • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring equitable and uniform outcomes while taking into account legal considerations.
    • Offer counsel to management on matters related to employee relations, fostering a constructive and supportive workplace environment.
  • HR Administration
    • Supervise the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to uphold precise employee records and compliance documentation.
    • Administer employee documentation to guarantee thoroughness and precision
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Support the recruitment process, ensuring adherence to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) regulations.
    • Design and execute onboarding programs to facilitate the seamless integration of new employees.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Collaborate with external vendors to manage employee benefits programs, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
    • Provide assistance to employees regarding inquiries and concerns related to their benefits.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years of HR experience, emphasizing compliance.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive comprehension of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Showcase robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Display outstanding communication and interpersonal aptitude.
  • Holding HR Certification (such as SHRM-CP or PHR) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with ADP software is beneficial.
