Description:
Define requirements and component specifications for panels, wiring harnesses and electrical systems
Conceive new electrical and electronic system designs for customer convenience and efficient manufacturability
Conduct product research on electrical and electronic equipment and components
Generate engineering drawings for new designs and approve all electrical prints for boat release to vendors and to manufacturing.
Review and approve load calculations for AC and DC electrical systems
Determine power configuration and generator size (120-V,240-V, 50/60 Hertz)
Determine battery and charging system requirements for DC electrical system
Technical design and layout of audio and visual systems including sizing, layout, cabling and schematics
Technical design and layout of navigation electronics including panels, support cabling and schematics
Provide manufacturing with technical support and direction including trouble shooting, testing and system verification.
Generate Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice’s (ECN) as required
