TEAM AND STRUCTURE Over the past few years Acrisure has expanded internationally with a small dedicated professional team based out of Grand Rapids. The international expansion has been both organic and through M&A and there is a significant pipeline of acquisitions expected to close in the foreseeable future. The International finance team has now reached a point where an additional proactive professional Project Accountant is required to support the growing portfolio of businesses. The role would require candidates to aid in the overall accuracy and integrity of the agency partners’ financial statements through the documentation and process optimization of all accounting processes and supporting documentation. This may include the development of work instructions, technical accounting memorandums (with the assistance) and creation of reporting dashboards, reconciliations etc. This role is unstructured and reports directly to the Senior Manager. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities: Develop and maintain best practice accounting process documentation. Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to be shared with Agency Partner and Acrisure management. Streamline the Agency Partner Trial Balance load process, including the validations process. Assist the international accounting team to produce and streamline the monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations. Research and clear variances noted during reconciliation completion process. Complete report requests from Agency Partners, Finance and other internal accounting departments. Accurately complete month-end duties including, schedules (prepaid, interest, goodwill, etc), trial balances, journal entries, analysis and general ledger/bank reconciliations. Contribute to team effort by conducting ad hoc financial projects, as needed. Embrace a culture of continuous improvement developing strategies to maximize efficiencies and unlock capacity. Manage workload to complete all activities accurately and within established timeframes and month-end deadlines. Adaptable to learn team processes independently. INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION & SKILL SET Must be able to work on-site at the Acrisure Grand Rapids, MI Studio Park location at least three days per week on a set rotation. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Experience in a technical accounting position (preferred but not required) Must be highly organized, detail oriented and have strong analytical skills. Technology Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Prior experience working with various ERP systems. Experience with Workday ERP and Alteryx (preferred but not required) Able to work independently and enjoy a high degree of interaction with team members. Ability to contribute to a collaborative global environment by consistently demonstrating teamwork, high motivation, positive behavior, and effort to achieve goals and objectives. Self-motivated and driven. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication, including the ability actively listen, and problem solve with minimal assistance. The ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently, and use discretion surrounding sensitive information. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
