Job Summary: Primarily responsible for providing actionable insights and supporting data to drive process improvements related to technology, analytics & reporting, and decision making. This role works closely with Accountants, Financial Analysts, IT Engineers, and Data Engineers. The Finance Intelligence Analyst will educate and train customers to use analytical tools and adopt new technology. Finance Intelligence Analyst work with customers to determine requirements, priorities, and key measures then investigate and support implementation of solutions. Finance Intelligence Analysts must have an interest in exploring technology and data to create new processes and decision-making tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This role will collaborate with various business teams to optimize internal and external business processes leveraging technology and data. Performs data analysis such as financial analysis, time studies, gap comparisons, and other ad hoc analysis. Analyze financial processes and data, translating those into user-friendly reports, visuals, and workflows. Work with stakeholders to understand their business and take a consultative approach to designing processes, solutions, and analysis. Create information solutions based on operational or system requirements to drive process improvement. Actively participate in training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others. Educate team members of diverse technical backgrounds on ERP features and processes. Function as a liaison between business users and IT. Support system implementation projects. Competencies Demonstrated experience gathering and executing report requirements. Ability to use data to identify insights that drive action. Proficiency in ad hoc analysis and ETL/data movement. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Adaptable. Ability to speak to both the financial and technical aspects of ERP. Exposure to business process mapping and/or re-engineering is preferred. Ability to effectively define key objectives, set clear goals, consistently measure & monitor progress, and produce successful results. Excellent written and verbal communication, responsiveness, and active listening skills. Thrive in a diverse, fast-paced environment. Education/Experience: 2 years of experience working as an analyst or developing automated solutions. 2 years of experience working within Workday, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, etc. or equivalent experience. Advanced Excel skills; VBA experience a plus. Desired: System implementation experience. Strong Data Management skills. Exposure to programming languages or advanced analytics. Knowledge of Workday Prism Preferred. Workday Pro Certification in Reporting, Financial, and/or relevant functional area is a plus. Experience in process improvement, benchmarking, or evaluation of business process.
