Job Description

Reporting to the COO, the VP, Supply Chain and Operations position is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our supply chain and vendor management operations. This role will manage and lead cross-functional teams, ensure the efficient flow of goods from suppliers to customers, and drive continuous improvement in warehousing, logistics, and drop ship vendor processes.

Key functions

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Warehousing: Oversee the management of company-owned and third-party warehousing facilities, ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Logistics: Manage transportation, distribution, and delivery processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the supply chain, negotiating favorable contracts with vendors and carriers.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as supplier issues, natural disasters, or economic fluctuations.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, implementing innovative solutions to enhance supply chain processes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in supply chain management, with a track record of success in warehousing, logistics, and vendor management.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding.
  • ERP experience required, Netsuite experience a plus
  • Amazon Seller Central experience a plus
  • B&M compliance, data, fulfillment workflow experience
  • Fluent Mandarin speaker is a plus
Additional Information

Compensation:

For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
