Compensation Details: $90 - $130K Job Description: Job Title: General Manager for Ace Handyman Services and Ace Hardware Painting Services Denver Metro Locations Created/Revised: 5/20/2024 Incumbent: Existing Job Grade: N/A Department: Ace Handyman and Ace Painting Operating Company Supervisor Title: CEO POSITION SUMMARY: The General Manager is responsible for oversight of the Ace Handyman Services (AHS) and the Ace Hardware Painting Services (APS) business in the Denver, CO metro area, and will lead and grow this world-class handyman and paint service, with focus on quality craftmanship and customer service. This position is responsible for working with the Handyman and Paint Operating Company leadership to develop and implement growth strategies for the business, with the goal of intelligent market penetration within the Denver Metro area. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: Rank of Importance Major Activities/Accountabilities 1 Create and execute on strategies for revenue growth and profitability for the business. 2 Oversee the daily AHS and APS operations within the assigned territories 3 Ensures that top level customer services is delivered at every job 4 Hires and develops high performing exempt and non-exempt employees as well as independent contractors 5 Partners with marketing teams to develop and execute effective marketing tactics to drive qualified leads to the business 6 Responsible for commercial business development and other outside sales activities 7 Creates and maintains solid relationships with Ace Hardware retailers in the assigned territories 8 Full responsibility for the financial performance of the business 9 Identifies, creates, and implements new processes and procedures for the company to increase productivity and profitability 10 Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of weekly payroll including performance bonuses 11 Timely submission of KPI reports to senior management SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Title Job Grade Type of Supervision (Direct/Indirect) Field Supervisor Direct Office Manager Direct Paint Sales Manager Direct Paint Production Manager Direct Business Development Manager Direct KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES: List the knowledge, skills and previous experience necessary to competently perform the job. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. 7 years construction management experience required. Paint management experience is a plus 3 years managing an independent contractor model business in the construction industry 3 years managing a company with revenues over $2 million 3 years sales experience in the construction and/or home service industry Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to display financial acumen and react to trends and seasonal changes. Ability to multitask and effectively manage time.
