Located in the heart of midtown, The Plaza now features 282 luxury hotel rooms and suites, the elegant Champagne Bar and stylish Rose Club, as well as the legendary Palm Court, New York City’s premier destination for afternoon tea. The Plaza offers the Five Diamond standard of excellence and sophistication while offering an authentically local and unrivalled experience for our guest.Compensation: $85,000 - 90,000 per annum, depending on experienceSummary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Outlets, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceLead the F&B Palm Court team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followedHandle guest concerns and react quickly and professionallyTo assist in recruiting and training all Palm Court ColleaguesBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsAttend regularly scheduled departmental meetingsMaximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotionsHave full knowledge of all Outlet menusAssist in managing the departmental budgetFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assigned QualificationsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States2 years of previous Food and Beverage leadership experience requiredExperience managing in a union environment requiredPrevious point of sale system experience requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesAdditional InformationOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
