Access Services is Hiring a Coordinator Near Fort Washington, PA

Access Services is looking for a part-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! When you join the Access Services team, you are helping to impact lives and our local communities. We see it as a privilege to serve individuals and their families.
The HR Coordinator will complete general administrative tasks within the human resources function, with a strong focus on customer service to our employees. Support the HR generalists and management to help ensure our work is considered highly responsive, truly collaborative, and consistently meeting or exceeding expectations, the HR Coordinator will be an integral member of the HR department. The ideal candidate will be able to provide beneficial contributions to the employee experience so that employees within our organization feel cared for and valued.
Role Functions:
1. Perform general administrative tasks, with a strong customer service orientation, within the human resources function.
2. Conduct active employment verifications in a timely, courteous manner, following departmental guidelines around requests.
3. Complete license renewal forms received from the Executive Office or Facilities staff, in a timely manner, to help meet regulatory reporting requirements.
4. Renew clearances for current employees timely, by registering an employee in the FBI fingerprinting system and /or providing an employee with a payment code for their self-registration of a child abuse clearance.
5. Support the communication for the Access Services CPR program including: CPR class scheduling, including soliciting participants and initiating reminders to schedule participants. Manage all changes to schedules and participant attendance.
6. Receive vendor certificates, provide certificates to employees, and input required information into our HRIS.
7. Manage electronic employee files including performing document(s) uploads into our HCMS system (VISTA).
8. Run routine reports on established schedules including monthly Sanction Screening reports and monthly birthday reports.
9. Sort, organize and upload relevant documents received from payroll.
10. Collect hard copy files of terminated employees, following the schedule. Purge identified files after meeting retention schedule of seven years.
11. Upload trainings documented on training spreadsheets submitted by programs as well as monthly Relias trainings, new hire trainings and other group trainings, following the established protocol.
12. Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner at all times as outlined in the Motor Vehicle Safety Program Policy.
13. Maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work scheduled overtime, or be available for unplanned overtime as necessary, to meet program needs.
14. Perform other responsibilities or duties as assigned or requested.
15. Act as back up for the electronic employee file project
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. BA/BS degree preferred. Administrative coursework in business school, technical school, or community college highly desirable.
Experience: One to two years of experience performing clerical, administrative and data input work in an office setting required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer skills. Organized, detail oriented and ability to prioritize workload. Ability to meet deadlines. Superior customer service orientation with all levels of employees within the organization. Ability to perform repetitive, routine work with accuracy and on time. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when providing support to all departmental members and employees outside of the department. Proficiency with, or ability to learn and use, Microsoft Office Suite products, applications including VISTA (HRIS) and EmpTrust (onboarding software) and basic office equipment.
2022 Compensation and schedule:
Starting at $17, based on education and experience in the field
Part-time, 20 hours/week, M-F
