Accellion USA, LLC is Hiring a Payroll Manager Near San Mateo, CA

The Payroll Manager is responsible for all areas relating to payroll processing and reporting. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment and compliance. The ideal candidate owns the payroll process end to end, is passionate about implementing and improving internal controls, and values building strong working relationships with key stakeholders. This is a “hands-on” role, based in our headquarter in San Mateo, CA.

The successful candidate will have an advanced background in ADP Systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process the semi-monthly US payroll including but not limited to retroactive payments, commissions, bonuses, new hires, terminations, and employee incentive stock program compliance using ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Manage ADP Time & Attendance system. 
  • Respond to employee inquiries concerning payroll, ensuring high customer satisfaction. 
  • Maintain/enhance company payroll policies, procedures, and compliance guidance. 
  • Perform monthly payroll close duties, including accruals and reconciliations. 
  • Complete the year end requirements including processing of W-2’s, annual reconciliations, and submission of wage data to state and local governments. 
  • Support Corporate Controller and Finance team with special projects and general accounting support.
  • Being liason of International payroll monthly processing and outside payroll advisors 
  • In charge of 401K audit and related payroll audit
  • Manage monthly recon and accrual of PTO, Payroll tax and liability
  • In charge of register of new states if new hire happens --
  • Maintain the stock option administration system and book the transactions in ERP system.

What You Bring With You 

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on payroll experience. 
  • Ability to identify payroll issues, discrepancies and opportunities and resolve issues in a timely manner. 
  • Highly analytical with working knowledge of general payroll protocols, accounting principles and Federal and State regulations. 
  • Advanced level experience with ADP Workforce Now, including Payroll, Reporting, Time & Attendance, and HRB. 
  • Strong understanding of data workflows and root cause analysis. 
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure. 
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent; CPP accreditation highly desired.
