TheNew Truck Sales Managerdirects and coordinates truck sales activities for the organization.

This contributor is responsible for growing profitability in the Sales Organization, New/Used with an emphasis on Customer Service excellence and employee satisfaction. TheLeader of Truck Sales will report to the Chief Operating Officer; fully accountable for keeping commitments and plans and advancing all sales operational activities of the dealership for the overall growth and profit objectives.

This leader assumes responsibilities primarily through effective people management, knowledge of sales operations, having a “keep the eye on the prize” focus for achieving performance results and a keen awareness of delivering a high level of internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and communicate inventory control and sales guidelines.

• Maintain and distribute inventory listing, specifications, availability status, and expectant inventory.

• Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.

• Review market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develop sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company within budget limitations.

• Specify and order new trucks for inventory in accordance with management direction, overseeing the factory ‘pre-billing’ and invoicing paper stream for accuracy.

• Prepare budgets and develop profit goals. Analyze and control expenditures of division to confirm to budgetary requirements. 
• Identify and qualify sales opportunities within municipal accounts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key municipal stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals.
• Negotiate and close sales contracts.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, finance, logistics) to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Four year degree preferred but not required 

• Five years’ commercial dealership truck experience in a sales/leadership capacity

• Commercial driver’s license and insurability.
