TITLE: Program Outreach Manager
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Partnerships
LOCATION: Hybrid in Washington, DC
POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Outreach Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to address a full range of activities to include strategic recruitment and outreach to find the best talent for CHCI programs. The Program Outreach Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Partnerships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
External Facing Recruitment (70% of Responsibilities):
Develop, implement, and manage recruitment and outreach for the organization’s high school, college, and postgraduate programs.
Establish recruitment strategies from a variety of data sources.
Create and own CHCI program-specific recruitment materials.
Design and lead alumni engagement efforts so they engage in our regional and national recruitment activities.
Establish short and long-term goals, objectives, and priorities to support and assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
Partner with CHCI program managers to determine appropriate talent sourcing strategies for specific requirements based on sponsor agreements.
In collaboration with the Partnerships Senior Manager, establish long-term partnerships with key organizations and educational institutions. Connect and build relationships with candidates, referral channels and within groups, clubs, and professional associations.
Brand CHCI as a renowned leadership and professional development organization through a strong social media presence and by representing CHCI at recruitment events with key organizations and educational institutions.
In collaboration with the Communications team, leverage technology and social media platforms to maximize reach, the use of recruitment channels, and storytelling. Effectively promote our programs, capture candidates' interests, and keep the different program audiences engaged.
Prepare staff and alumni to represent CHCI at events and conferences with key organizations and educational institutions.
Travel up to 25% required.
Application and Selection Support (25% of Responsibilities):
Lead implementation of yearly application updates and participate in the application review process
Manage inquiries about applications from all programs.
Track application numbers across programs.
Program Team Support (5% of Responsibilities):
Other duties as needed to support the full department
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Experienced project manager
Self-starter that works well independently in a fast-paced environment
Innovative, creative, and keen attention to detail
Proven ability to establish professional relationships and build rapport with stakeholders.
Innovative, creative, and keen attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills (effective presentation skills)
Experience using social media platforms and technology to engage young professionals.
Proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
Commitment to the mission of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
Preferred:
Experience recruiting in any capacity.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Salesforce (or another CRM)
Knowledge of Spanish – (for community-building and communication with participants)
