Head of Business Development Operations
Partner closely with the Global Head of Business Development on the following key activities:
* Work with the Global Head of Business Development to design and implement best practices across business development processes, policies, and systems to support overall operational efficiency of the global Business Development organization
* Own the relationships between business development, marketing, and commercial operations teams to help orchestrate optimal go-to-market effectiveness globally. (Drive alignment and communication between these core teams)
* Manage the business development pipeline, forecasting, and reporting; analysing key metrics to drive performance and providing visibility to the wider business in the form of comprehensive metrics and performance dashboards and reports
* Create a monthly and quarterly team/vertical reporting package template (with input from BD/Sales leaders) to be shared with key stakeholders (sales leadership, executive leadership, global board level). Metric examples include: qualified meetings booked, new opportunities generated, fee revenue pipeline added, target list penetration scores, cumulative closed won results, core marketing / sales funnel conversion rates, and more. Core excel skills required.
* Based on the performance analysis above - work with the regional business development leads and their teams to drive improvement through providing powerful, data driven insights
* Drive Salesforce data hygiene processes and perform periodic retrospectives with regional leaders to ensure accuracy across all data and fix inaccuracies
* Be a key member of the 'sales play' planning and execution process. Partner with multiple marketing teams, global commercial operations, and sales leaders, to establish key industry vertical demand themes and help orchestrate the efficient mobilisation of this program at scale
* To mobilise the above; oversee a team of campaign strategists who are responsible for drafting key copy and content for sales plays
* Manage a team of business development analysts both in and out of region to contribute to Business Development Manager, and Director, performance. Analysts will contribute to the overall market research requirements of the BD organization as well as ad hoc requests from industry vertical sales leaders. They may in time also field all bid board and tender sites to search and uncover key RFI/RFP events that will be surfaced to the respective business development team
* Be a key contributor in strategic planning initiatives during the year. For example, help organise and drive productive quarterly business reviews and end of year reviews to ensure we celebrate our successes, drive collaboration and continuously improve
* Collaborate with other functions to streamline processes, fix issues, and optimize activities
Role Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
* 7 years experience and proven track record of success in sales and business development-related operations and execution activities that support growth and operational excellence
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with broad cross-functional teams to achieve growth & operational objectives
* Excellent executive communication skills in the following areas: creating senior executive storylines and talk tracks based on results & data; creating high-quality executive presentations (and driving the needed iterative, collaborative draft & review cycles); excellent verbal and written communications
* Excellent Salesforce understanding and skills
* Excellent program management and deliverable creation skills
* Good knowledge of the commercial real estate market and landscape
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
* Extensive knowledge of Go-to-market planning including marketing, BD, and sales processes and methodologies
