The Opportunity  

As an analyst/senior analyst you will provide technical assistance or operational support for Medicare or Medicaid payment policies and programs. You will support current and new work related to Medicare and Medicaid programs focused on implementing, monitoring, and improving care and payment models. You will provide research support to CMS and/or provide technical assistance to state and federal health agencies or health care providers. You will also support project management tasks associated with key projects. This opportunity is for future work (anticipated need is 3-4 positions) and successful candidates will be contacted as project needs are identified.

Core Responsibilities  

• Facilitate communications across and between internal and external stakeholders 
• Support the development of quality improvement strategies or technical assistance plans
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor policies and programs 
• Use project management skills to complete assigned tasks according to project plans, timelines, budget, and quality standards 
• Assist in quantitative analysis and data-oriented tasks 
• Contribute to written deliverables to include drafting memos, report, meeting read-outs, technical assistance tools, and interview and focus group protocols
• Participate in business development efforts by contributing to the proposal development process.

What We Value 

• Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree
• Senior Analyst: Bachelor’s Degree 5 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD 
• Deep understanding of, or interest in Medicare/Medicaid policy and programs 
• Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative and/or mixed-method research approaches. 
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities under deadlines 
• Ability to solve problems and respond to client requests with limited guidance or ambiguous information 
• Experience writing technical programming specifications and reviewing output is preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CMS security clearance 
• US work authorization and residence in the US for the past seven years

The position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $57,000 to $79,000 (analyst), and approximately $69,000 to $110,000 (senior analyst). Salary ranges may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
