Outside Sales Representative
Located in Houston Texas, Absolute Electric Supply, Inc. is a profitable and privately held electrical distributor that has gained market share and presence through the stability and commitment to the industry and our people.
We are looking for a committed, sales and technology oriented, professional who is comfortable meeting with decision makers to increase the volume and frequency of purchases from AES in assigned accounts.
You will also have the latitude to develop projects in the account base through client meetings and solution sales.
Essential Functions
- Meets regularly with decision makers at assigned accounts
- Generates new accounts and pipeline based on annual objectives for new business
- Follows up on leads generated through cold calls, word of mouth or marketing campaigns
- Develops long term relationships with accounts that have future potential for sales and projects
- May work with Accounts Receivable to collect on late payments while preserving the account relationship
- Meets or exceeds revenue and GP targets in assigned territory
- May work with the inside sales team to coordinate RFQ’s and order fulfillment
- May coordinate with warehouse and accounting to resolve issues related to shipping and billing
- May assist in projects; providing specs, quoting, pricing and fulfillment
- May prepare and present presentations (Prezi, PowerPoint, etc.) internally and externally
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Strong time and priority management skills
- Ability to work well with a decentralized team
- Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- 5 years of industry experience with 3 years in a sales role
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: HS Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
