As a Product Line Manager, need to manage a team of Product Managers within US/Mexico responsible for the creation of product line strategies across the ANSI Grid Component platforms, including Instrument Transformers, MV Outdoor Products / Reclosers, and other US/ANSI Grid Components produced in the Pinetops, NC and SLP, Mexico factories.In this role you will be responsible for the long-term profitable growth of the Grid Components products portfolio into targeted market segments, by developing and managing their life cycle, according to market needs and Business Line strategy & targets. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with R&D, Operations, the Global Grid Component Business Line, Sales & Marketing teams, as well as utility and industrial customers to promote a wide portfolio of switches and grid automation products.

Business Manager - Portfolio

• Responsible for integrating the US/ANSI Grid Components portfolio strategy and product roadmaps. Collaborate with the Global Grid Components team on ANSI CB's, relays, switches (indoor/Outdoor) to drive mutual success in the ANSI Market. Ownership of these products remain with the Global team
• Build productive relationships across the US & MX Business Line and with the Global Grid Components Business Line
• Supervising Market Requirement Specification (MRS) development by product managers, overall life cycle management of the portfolio
• Supervise the prompt execution of R&D investment plans to turn the MRS's into successful product releases
• Defining product/system/service customer value proposition, per segment and per channel
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to achieve market product positioning targets and financial goals. (e.g., market share, user segments, pricing, etc.)
• Develop pricing guidelines and DOA for effectiveness and to maximize channel effectiveness (e.g., direct customers, distributors, OEM, etc.)
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to promote product driven manufacturability improvements & cost reduction
• Investigate business development opportunities to optimize portfolio offerings by further developing our own products or identifying acquisition opportunities
• Supervise the creation of marketing and promotional strategies for products in the portfolio by the Product Managers jointly with Marketing & Communication teams
• People leadership and development - Responsible for supervising, coaching, and maximizing the effectiveness of the Product Managers and developing them into future leaders. Drives and ensures knowledge sharing and cross-collaboration

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or related field, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or proven accomplishments
• MBA or advanced degree in Engineering preferred
• Minimum 10 - 15 years of relevant work experience with medium or high voltage electrical products is required with at least some exposure to relevant sectors, e.g., OEM's / Utilities / Renewable etc.
• 3 plus years of experience as a people manager
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Proven expertise and understanding of market requirements
• Deep knowledge of market analysis tools and methodologies
• Experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment
• Demonstrated strong leadership and team skills in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
• Excellent technical training, speaking, and writing skills
• Must be able to independently conduct presentations and training
