The Mortgage Loan Processor and Customer Service Specialist is a key player in our mortgage lending team, responsible for processing loan applications with precision and providing outstanding customer service. This position requires a blend of technical mortgage processing skills and excellent customer service abilities to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Mortgage Loan Processing:

• Application Review and Verification:
• Thoroughly review mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify borrower information and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Documentation Management:
• Collect, organize, and maintain all necessary loan documentation.
• Ensure timely submission and completeness of all required documents.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Act as a liaison between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with third-party services such as appraisers, title companies, and insurance providers.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
• Ensure loan files meet all federal, state, and company regulations.
• Conduct quality control checks to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Process and Timeline Management:
• Track and manage loan application timelines to ensure timely processing and closing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan processing status in the system.

Customer Service:

• Client Engagement:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the loan process.
• Provide timely updates and respond to client inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Issue Resolution:
• Address and resolve client issues or concerns related to loan processing.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate departments or management as needed.
• Client Education:
• Educate clients on loan products, application processes, and timelines.
• Guide clients through each step of the loan application process.
• Feedback and Improvement:
• Collect and analyze client feedback to enhance service quality and client satisfaction.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage loan processing and/or customer service roles.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of mortgage loan products, processing procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
