Position Objective:

The Bartow HR Manager is a key role which will have accountability for developing strategies and initiatives designed to drive employee recruitment, engagement, retention and development. The HR Manager is relied upon for counsel, leadership, execution and results that support the Bartow operation to meet their strategic, organizational and manufacturing production priorities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serve as an advocate for employees in the Bartow operation and develop and implement change initiatives designed to enhance employee engagement, development and productivity.
  • Responsible for all aspects of employee life-cycle including: recruitment effort for all plant exempt and nonexempt roles, interns, and temporary employees.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with the entire leadership team, employees and other HR professionals and offer thought leadership and provide strategic advice and counsel regarding organizational and people-related strategies
  • Track, develop and provide insightful people and market data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions
  • Develop HR/people oriented programs to positively impact change and employee engagement; understand and solicit employee feedback and anticipate their needs and concerns
  • Partner with leaders and other HR colleagues to identify and set short and long-term HR metrics based on business plans and local business goals
  • Drive change by developing and strategically leading large-scale people and/or change management initiatives including workforce transformations, organization design/evolution/development
  • Provide expertise in performance management, coaching, data analysis, employee relations , learning and development and recognition programs
  • Collaborate with site Safety Manager to administer occupational injury and illness prevention, safety incentives, and training programs.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR or related field required;
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification highly desirable;
  • Paylocity experience a plus;
  • 5 years' previous HR experience in a manufacturing facility;
  • Strong experience in high volume production recruitment;
  • Detailed and contemporary understanding of employment laws and statutes, local and national;
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
