Role:

APV is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager for its corporate operations in Columbia, MD. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide hands-on experience in both marketing, composition of brand recognition, writing social media savvy messages and introducing new marketing technology tools.

The Marketing Manager will collaborate with leadership and business development to execute and facilitate strategic marketing programs to lead our branding initiatives. Additionally, lead the efforts to design campaigns to promote technical solutions on social media platforms.

Duties: 

  • Conduct detailed market research relating to our technical solutions and develop marketing messages, campaigns, and branding for impressive social media initiatives.
  • Plan, direct, and create high-impact marketing strategies for building brand recognition, conversational marketing, email, and social media platforms.
  • Write content for cross-channel marketing communications such as webpage, social media platforms ie. LinkedIn, video scripts and other digital marketing collateral.
  • Manage all marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Raise awareness and oversee social media marketing, content, images, messages for consistency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for consulting professional services and software solutions.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze campaign performance to maintain evaluation metrics, KPI’s for communication and outreach plans.
  • Report to senior management on a regular basis with a strong focus on quantifiable results and return-on-investment in multi-media platforms.
  • Work closely with business development teams to develop effective marketing strategies, timelines, and prepare public announcements.
  • Explore technologies for creative marketing messages and pioneer emerging ideas for creative graphics, interfaces, customer relationship marketing.
  • Support branding as it pertains to recruiting efforts and delivering a compelling competitive advantage on talent acquisition resources.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing management.
  • Knowledge of US Federal Government IT industry services, systems a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling content that aligns with projects, advertisement, and marketing campaigns on social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of marketing channels including e-marketing, digital advertising, and internal constituents.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Writing samples available upon request.
