Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. This is a leadership role that requires strong supervisory skills and a deep understanding of acute care systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and update care plans
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of nursing practice
- Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources within the nursing department
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in medical technology, procedures, and regulations
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in acute care nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and nursing administration
- Experience in hospice care is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively lead a team and manage multiple priorities
