A-Core Concrete Specialists is Hiring a Benefits Specialist Near Murray, UT

A-Core: Concrete Specialists is a growing company of people who make an effort to do their very best every day. We have been hiring and developing many of the concrete industry’s most highly skilled and safety conscious individuals for 50 years. A-Core was founded from one man’s desire to make enough money to feed his family. It has now grown to 13 offices in 9 states with over 300 employees and growing.

This position is responsible for working side by side with our HR Manager to manage benefits and will primarily handle employee benefits, leaves of absence, and 401K enrollments. The Benefits Specialist will also assist the team with any other benefits-related tasks as needed. This position will report directly to the HR Manager.
What You Will Be Doing

  • Administer various employee benefits, including enrollments of group insurance, medical and dental, accident and disability, and health maintenance programs, 401(k), and other voluntary deductions.
  • Communicate and educate employees to explain and promote benefit programs.
  • Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely enrollment and changes to benefit plans.
  • Collaborate with HR Manager and benefit brokers to resolve issues and ensure smooth administration.
  • Monthly auditing of invoices and administration of employee enrollments.
  • Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Handle all HR compliance testing and requirements such as EEOC Filing, Form 5500, 401k Audits, etc.
  • Staying up to date with relevant federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits administration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members’ inquiries and respond promptly and effectively.
  • Will conduct quarterly audits and summaries regarding this role.
  • Recognizing the need to remain flexible and display a strong sense of urgency.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years supporting benefits administration
  • Very high sense of urgency
  • Must be empathetic to others
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, HRIS and/or other applicable database programs
  • Strong ability to communicate with a high level of service to all team members face to face, over the phone, and in written communication
  • Very Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Be an innovative thinker with a “yes” mentality
  • On-site attendance required

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR Degree or HR/Benefit Experience
  • Experience with an HRIS system
