A.C. Coy is Hiring a Remote Sr. Java Developer (Remote)
Overview
- Tier One Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior Java Developer for our US Government client located in Washington, DC. This will be a 100% remote position.
- SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online.
- Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.
- Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications.
Qualifications
- A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline is preferred.
- 6 years advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web Services/Design/Development and APIs.
- 2 years advanced computer programming skills in JSF 2.x/Prime Faces, JSP
- 4 years advanced computer programming skills in JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX
- 4 Strong Knowledge Rest Based Web Services
- 2 Moderate understanding of Jenkins Build and Deploy CI/CD
- Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Java/J2EE, Web Services/Design/Development and APIs, JSP, JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, JavaScript, HTML.
- Skills in DevSecOps, Secure Coding practices, and the Solutions Development Framework (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab).
- Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies.
- Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices.
- Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Desired experience with Struts, CSS, Html, Unix, Jenkins/EBS.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
- Be able to pass a drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks.
- Must be a US Citizen or have Permanent Residence status (Green Card).
- Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
