A and J Blinds, Shutters, Shades and Draperies is Hiring an Office Assistant Near Lubbock, TX

We are looking for a reliable, organized Office Assistant to help handle our growth. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible and excellent client-facing communication skills. If you have worked in a fast-paced office in the past and you enjoy establishing your own organizational systems, we’re excited to talk with you. We’re looking for someone who can operate effectively with little or no supervision and who can manage multiple tasks at once without becoming overwhelmed.

Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m-5:00 p.m.

*No health insurance*

*Paid time off after a year of employment*

Duties will include but not limited to:

· Overseeing various daily office operations such as answering phones and taking detailed messages, greeting and assisting customers, setting up appointments for installation and measures, handling incoming and outgoing mail and checking emails frequently.

· Keeping track of office supplies and other items we keep in stock.

· Communicating with Co-workers on installs and jobs that are ready for installation.

· Present a positive and professional image for the company with a courteous and enthusiastic demeanor.

· Ability to work independently and with fellow co-workers.

The ideal candidate would need the following:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Office Administration position.

Familiarity with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office and Excel, Google Calendar and QuickBooks.

Accurate record keeping and data entry.

Good Written and verbal communication skills as well as organization skills.

Accuracy and attention to detail a must.

Interpersonal skills, professional and courteous demeanor, excellent office and phone etiquette, time management, multitasking and flexibility.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Must maintain office confidentiality.

Excellent office and phone etiquette, time management skills, be able to multi-task and be flexible and can get back on target when interrupted.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
