A-1 United Heating, Air & Electrical is Hiring a HVAC Service Technician Near Omaha, NE
A-1 United Heating and Air Conditioning, an employee-owned company and one of the largest and most decorated Lennox dealers in the country, is seeking a dedicated HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. With a staff of over 100 people, we offer a supportive work environment and the opportunity to grow your career in the HVAC industry. Commission is also available for qualified sales leads.
Responsibilities
- Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled
- Consult with customers to determine their needs
- Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
- Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues
- Sell ongoing maintenance contracts to customers
- Maintain accurate records of customer appointments and transactions
- Manage inventory of equipment and HVAC resources
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of HVAC experience preferred
- Certification through the Environmental Protection Agency to handle refrigerants required
- Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school preferred
- Previous on-the-job training a plus
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex HVAC issues to customers
- Problem-solving skills
- Valid state driver’s license
- Punctuality and ability to adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Commission is also available for qualified sales leads.
