3M is seeking Production Operator candidates to join our team in Stafford Springs, CT!

  • Starting Pay: $20.49 - $24.79/hour (varies based on role placement)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Operate line in accordance with written work instructions & MLC Parameters. Makes
  • necessary adjustments to ensure equipment is running properly.
  • Perform routine maintenance/monthly preventative maintenance and report any malfunctions/problems to supervision.
  • Run tests on line to ensure proper quality standards are achieved. Makes adjustments to line to achieve proper requirements. Enters test/run data into QA data base.
  • Observe all Plant and department safety rules. Reports any and all safety hazards to supervision.
  • Process, inspect and pack material as it comes off the line.
  • Responsible for changeovers from one product line to another.
  • Inspects paperwork, labels, and batch number for the with material to be run.
  • May require handling hazardous waste.
  • May be assigned other miscellaneous duties (including training) by department supervision/leadership.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Able to successfully follow instructions.
  • Possess good communication skills.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $20.49/hour, with the potential to reach $22.10/hour. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
