Job Description

Job Description

Global market leader in reversing safety and all-round visibility for commercial vehicles is looking for a Regional Business Development Representative .

You will be responsible for executing sales strategies, initiating contact with existing and prospective clients, while identifying needs and providing product solutions to meet customer requirements.

This is a challenging sales role that will require 50-75% travel . Your focus will be to win fleet specification business and develop distribution to support fleet needs.

You will lead sales development with operations and maintenance groups in the safety market sector within your regional geographic territory.

Expectations

Sales

  • Achieve the approved sales revenue and volume by product mix within agreed expense limits
  • Prospect new opportunities; develop pipeline with both new prospects and existing customers with new products
  • Review performance monthly with the Sales Manager and modify plans as necessary to achieve agreed upon targets
  • Negotiate prices within limits as specified
  • Submit annual and other sales forecasts as required
  • Efficient territory and sales management
  • 80-90% face time with customers

Market Knowledge

  • Stay abreast of market trends and developments to identify opportunities and threats
  • Estimate market share by product group and customer type
  • Prepare reasoned sales forecasts by product, customer and sector

Administration

  • Conform to the company administration system
  • Maintain adequate records to ensure the Outlook Calendar, CRM and meeting notes are kept up to date as required

Professionalism

  • Provide first class customer service to ensure that our organization is regarded as a highly responsible company with excellent products
  • Thorough understanding of the products and services offered
  • Develop as a professional salesperson
  • Contribute to the company development by bringing opportunities to the attention of management

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years previous outside sales experience
  • Experience with fleet sales, truck parts / components with established customer base preferred
  • Experience meeting financial targets and achieving sales growth
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to demonstrate strong coordination skills
  • Attention to detail is an absolute must
  • Experience working from a home office
  • Valid Driver’s License

Other requirements

  • 75% plus travel is required
  • Flexibility to work the hours required to achieve results
  • Attendance at meetings and exhibitions that may be out of normal working hours and / or on weekends
  • Home office will be required
  • Ability to meet substantial travel requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a US Passport
  • Innate time manager
