- Bookkeeping for both firm operating and IOLTA accounts using QuickBooks.
- Accounts payable and receivable responsibilities (documenting client files, meeting due dates, transmitting payments, following up on outstanding receivables) and oversight of invoicing.
- Preparation and tracking of annual budget, and regular financial reports for shareholders.
- Management of third-party vendor contracts.
- Interfacing with firm banking representatives.
- Interfacing with firm’s CPA regarding year end and tax accounting.
- Oversight of personnel/HR functions including hiring/discharging non-attorney staff, resource scheduling, payroll, vacation, sick leave, and daily problem solving directly and through online resources.
- Oversight of premises and supplies, including cleaning service, equipment, ordering/tracking, etc.
- General management of office projects as needed.
- Experience in office administration/office management
- Degree preferred but can be substituted with directly related experience
- High proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Office
- At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role within an office setting
- Prior bookkeeping experience (AP, AR, Invoicing, Billing, etc.)
- Prior experience with managing and processing payroll
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
