Our Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Forecasting Finance team is seeking a high caliber Business Intelligence professional to help support our Retail Finance organization working on business-critical BI solutions. This role will leverage your BI, analytics, engineering, and communication skills to work directly with our data scientists and BI teams to support Finance with data, automation, forecasting, and reporting enabling the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions. What you'll do : Support the Forecasting, BI, and Data Science team with data requirements in support of time-series forecasting and machine learning models for critical business metrics Partner with the data science team to build data pipelines to support the periodic outlook and quarterly forecasting processes utilizing SQL and Python Develop detailed working knowledge of Expedia Group’s data and processes - including forecasting Manage a suite of data visualizations (i.e. Tableau dashboards) owned by the BI team Collect business requirements, transform them into technical requirements, and support finance partners with data needs through ad hoc data solutions or creating standardized data visualization and reporting Identify areas of improvement for our data model, performance, validation, visualization, and reporting challenges Who you are : Bachelor’s Degree 5 years Business Intelligence or related equivalent professional experience Proven hands-on experience with both SQL and Python Proven hands-on experience with data modeling and ETL Understanding of data lake concepts, capabilities, and technologies used for BI solutions such as AWS, Qubole, Databricks, SQL Server, etc. Experience with Tableau reporting or other reporting and visualization tools Knowledge of financial forecasting and reporting systems Flexibility and agility with the ability to switch priorities on short notice At Expedia Group, we believe in bringing people together and creating an inclusive workplace where everyone belongs and can do their best work.
