At Corrections Health, we provide medically needed health care to adults and youth in custody at our Multnomah County Jails and our Juvenile Detention Facility. The Management Analyst is a crucial role responsible for supporting the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Corrections Health (CH) Division. This position involves a detailed analysis of technical processes, human resources strategies, budgetary considerations, and administrative tasks. The role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure compliance with policies, objectives, and legal regulations. The Management Analyst will also evaluate program effectiveness, assist in policy development aligned with CH, state, and federal guidelines, and support the maintenance of accreditation standards. The role demands an understanding of the unique operational environments within the CH Division and requires regular interaction with team members to assess and address their needs. The Management Analyst will not directly lead teams but will play a vital role in providing analytical support, recommendations, and insights to enhance overall divisional performance. In the Management Analyst role, duties include but are not limited too you will: Technical Analysis and Data Management: - Collect and analyze data to inform operational decisions. - Prepare options and presenting recommendations based on data analysis. - Evaluate the effectiveness of current programs and develop new initiatives. Operational and Administrative Management: - Develop procedures consistent with NCCHC standards and MCSO requirements. - Monitor work performed by staff to meet goals and objectives. - Authorize the redistribution of resources to meet changing program needs. - Implement and auditing standard operational procedures. Human Resources and Staffing: - Manage hiring and retention strategies for Correction Health staff. - Work with Human Resources for staff certification and license compliance. - Ensure staff understand their roles and maintain a high performance standard. - Facilitate resolution of conflict and manage complex group dynamics. - Coach and train for optimum job performance across the division. Budget and Fiscal Responsibilities: - Develop a fiscally responsible budget for the Division. - Use data to evaluate the financial status and implement change as needed. - Direct, review, and approve the preparation of division budgets. - Monitor the operational budget and analyze expenditures for fiscal responsibility. Policy Development and Program Evaluation: - Work with the leadership team to develop policies in alignment with various guidelines. - Participate in the development and implementation of policies and priorities. - Monitor progress toward objectives and accreditation requirements.
